Best of Rainbow Reading 2020

It’s time to look back at 2020 and highlight my favorite LGBTQ reads of the year! I read a total of 332 LGBTQ books and I enjoyed the vast majority of them, which made narrowing down my favorites a struggle (as evidenced by the sheer number of books in this post).

I changed up the format a bit this year, but as always, these selections are based on my personal enjoyment of the books, not necessarily their literary quality or critical merit.

October TBR: The Ace Race

I read 35 books in September and my TBR…went up by 20, from 250 titles on September 1st to 270 titles on October 1st. To think, a few short months ago I almost had it under 200…

I highlighted nine titles on last month’s acrostic, a grand total of two of which I actually read in September (Nessie Quest and The Turnaway Study).

This month I’m not doing an acrostic, but instead focusing on books on my TBR that work for The Ace Race, a readathon that runs for the entire month of October and focuses on books with asexual protagonists!
